I made accidently two orders and phoned the next day to have one of them cancelled. I was told that it would take 2 days (till Friday) to have it cancelled, then phone in again then.
I received TWO shipping notices; one for the first, one for the second. Even though I had phoned and asked to have one of them cancelled promptly.

I sent an email to [email protected] and they haven't responded back.

Has anybody had the same happen? And did you receive two or just one?

You may be the only Canadian to receive any Lenovo laptop, let alone two, on-time. I would phone again and make sure, rather than emailing. You run a risk of being charged through using (though this sounds silly) slow email response time. It probably should not take two days. Check your credit card balance - lenovo bills when it ships, so this should be your first indicator.

If they give you no response or even if they do after you call, call your cc company and tell them to authorize ONLY one charge from Lenovo for the amount of the notebook - make sure you tell them that you have already called the company about cancellation should they have any problems. They should be able to understand this, explain to them the situation and that you only want one notebook and authorize only one charge.

    I hope this helps!

here is my girlfriend's story. She ordered a T61 from Lenovo Canada but after 1 week, she decided to cancel it. She called and spoke to a rep that told her it is too late as the order has been shipped out but he made a note saying that she can return once received with no penalty. She received it almost two weeks ago and called Lenovo the day she received it who told her she will get a RMA email. As of today, she hasn't received it yet. She called a second time yesterday and the rep told her she should be expecting a email today, which she didn't receive. So far, her experience with Lenovo Canada is pretty poor. The invoice date was March 15 (the day the laptop shipped out) and it states that she has 30 days to return it. I hope Lenovo is not playing a delay tactic. I have a feeling that even once we get the RMA email, it will take a months to chase her money back.

When I ordered my T61P at the end of February, I had some difficulty with the Lenovo Canada website. I wondered whether I had inadvertently ordered two. In the next several days, I received two order confirmations, two services registration emails and two early shipping confirmations.

I sent Lenovo Canada anxious emails. Eventually, I received two emails confirming that there was only computer on order. This was also confirmed by a Lenovo CSR.

A key variable in all this was the order number. If the order number is the same in all cases and the order includes only one computer, then probably you're OK. If there is more than one order number, you may well have a second computer in the pipeline.
