Hey guys. Trying to track my order, but it's giving me "Code 500: Internal Server Error. Anybody else having this problem?
-
yes . . same here. probably doing maintenance on the site. My order should have shipped yesterday after 4 delays. Guess we will find out soon.
-
Mine was at "released to Manufacturing" last night, since thursday night, and I'm hoping to have my laptop by this friday. Probably not going to happen, though.
-
Yes, couldn't check my status this morning - supposed to get shipped on the 25th when I ordered it.
-
What are the different order status' in order of how far along your machine is? Checking a different way, it says "In Process", as opposed to "Released to Manufacturing"

Parts of Lenovo's sites being broken is a constant of life.
-
The B&N order status link never works (I'm assuming you are using that one). Try this one:

I get that same error with that link too, their site is so buggy.
-
It hasn't worked for me for the last 4 days. I guess I will have to rely on the email updates. :S
-
I think they did it on purpose so people can't see if their order is delayed or not due to all the orders recently.
I'm saying "I think" so please don't attack me lol. -
I hate this. I want to know if it'll ship before Friday or not.

I just ordered and received my W530 in the past 2 weeks, the whole process went without a hitch. it could be down for maintenance. Although, their site does need some serious help in the IT department in terms of maintaining it. Try calling them if you have your order number. Also, a lot of the complaints are based off the notebooks being stuck in US customs for days. However, this is NOT the norm. mine was only there for ~1 hour before clearing, which is a tad faster than normal, but far more common.
So, don't sweat it too much, and call their customer service. They CAN look it up for you. You can also inquire via their rep chat on their site. -
The site is definitely broken, my T430 is suppose to ship today but we'll see. -
On the link they sent me via email, I thought it went Order Received > Released to Manufacturing, and that was what I saw last time the link worked. The Order Status link at the bottom of the site tells me that my order is In Process. So maybe the site is incorrect or something. I just wish it would ship. It's my first laptop so I'm extremely excited.
-
well i called, and they said the estimated ship date is the 30th. it was supposed to be today. t530
-
yes, I called today and mine (ordered june 25th) is now set to ship August 8. I ordered the x230t. I think it is the 500mg 7200 HD that is the problem
-
My W530 is estimated as August 13th. I ordered it last Wednesday. If it really takes that long, I'll be a very unhappy customer.
-
im just cancelling and going to buy a laptop at bestbuy. im leaving for college on the 17th, so i can't take any more chances.
-
What are you going to buy? -
-
Ship to your college Package Department, then you can pickup by your Driver License and Student ID.

It is laughable when a big technology company like that (for those who DO) has its website down and cannot/don't want to fix it for 3 days now!

Lenovo's CEO should take back those cushy bonuses at once.

Deep wisdom: Institutional buyers don't check status on Lenovo website.
(They use fax. They ask their assistants who in turn tell their secretaries to check status via fax.) -

Really, Tuesday is gone and not yet fixed! I am sure someone on this forum can help the guys at lenovo fix it! -
It was broken Friday night, and there's still no fix tonight, on Tuesday. It's been 5 days, 3 business days. This should be fixed or declared a problem. I can't trust whether the order status I'm using is accurate or not, because the rest of the system is down. According to the status tracker at the bottom of the Canadian site, it appears my laptop hasn't moved. That worries me.
-
At least their SCM system still runs in the background, my T430 which I ordered on Thursday has just shipped, I can't check order status but got the email.

What is interesting is the fact that Lenovo is somewhat clueless about order status - even on their end. I called yesterday about my T530 and was told that is looked like my order would ship sometime this week - probably. Today I received an email stating my order shipped. I thought, perfect, just what they told me. In actuality, it shipped three days ago and is already in KY. I find it quite odd that the Lenovo rep had no clue it was already on the way...
-
^^^ That's the way it has been for years. It's good that you received an email notification, which is not always the case.
-
I just got off the phone with Sales to check on my T430s order and didn't have the heart to tell the sales rep that his bosses were probably lying to him when they told him to tell everyone that the Order Tracking page would be fixed "sometime today or tomorrow".

im not exactly sure, maybe a toshiba, maybe a samsung.

"What are you going to buy?"

I'm looking and, like someone said one page 3 of this thread, pretty sure the 500GB 7200RPM drive is the hold-up. It's not even an option on the W530 right now. That's most likely the issue, from what I can see. Anybody know anything about the drives shipping status?
EDIT: The chat rep I just spoke to via "Looking to modify an order" tells me the drives are the problem, and my laptop has a "Firm Ship Date" of August 2nd, according to his backlog tool, which is more accurate than the order status, which he confirms is broken. That shipping date puts me at ease. Thats 2 weeks of business days(I ordered Wednesday night, after business hours). That's respectable, I guess, at least for a backordered part. -

Order status appears to be fixed.

The order status is working again. Well it is for me. I just checked my status.

The 'View Order Details' link does not work for me either as of this post. Instead, it still passes to some page giving a connection timeout (their side) error of sorts. As a first time customer this really made me wonder if there were issues with my particular order.
Even though correct generic order information is visible, detailed information helps add confidence that the order is correct. I have the initial order confirmation upon payment but it helps to see that reflected in a vendor's system on demand. I contacted Lenovo support and they were able to provide me with an estimated shipping date and state there were no issues with my order.
Five days of downtime seems like quite awhile for functionality so basic and wide stretching for a corporation large as Lenovo. I'm curious if anyone able to view their detailed order status(es) purchased any of the recent 'hot' sale items (perhaps the status was intentionally disabled for certain orders). I can't see detailed status of my Ideapad Y580 order. -
-
Holy , just shipped last night, I guess. That's amazing.
My order was place on July 18th, and immediately they say it's going to be an estimated ship date of august 12th, then the rep tells me their materials say it'll ship on August 2nd, and in reality it ships on July 28, estimated delivery on August 2nd.
I'm really happy, but it makes me worry a part had been downgraded or something. But maybe I'm just paranoid.
