I placed a new order for a T61. Right after submitting the order, the "thank you" page shows "T61". The order status doesn't show "T61" anywhere, just the parts/specs. I used the email button on order status page to email myself the details. Well the email I received says it's a "THINKPAD T60". Why? Has anyone else had similar errors? Will it cause problem?

Sorry I can't be of much help but I think you should definitely call customer service and get it cleared up.

In fact, guess what, the order that I placed two days ago and called to cancel today, which was also a T61, is also shown to be "T60" in the emailed details. I suggest all of you check yours as well. It's not the order status, but when you press the email button on top of order status and submit an email to youreslf, that email contains the details of the specs, and is where "T60" is shown.

I just became aware of something and will post a new thread about this.

That would rule actually- t 61 in a 14.1" t 60 case. Thicker plastic, magnesium lid case.

    What if it's a T60 in a T61 case?

I'd still take it. It's not like they can switch processors on you. At least you're going for 14.1", which gives you the magnesium lid if it does turn out to be a t 60 (it won't). I have a 15.0" t 60 which is worst of both worlds- no magnesium lid, no roll cage in lid.
