Ordered T61 with 14.1" but it says 14.2" ???

Hi guys,

I just ordered my first thinkpad (T61) just now and on the order details page it says:

42X1671 SBB 14.2"WXGA+TFT,W/ CAMERA

Does that mean I am getting a 14.2" screen as opposed to a 14.1 screen?

Or is it just a typo?

Odd; mine says 14.1" (as it should). But then again, I didn't get the camera (no one wants to see pictures of me, trust me). Other than that, though, we have nearly identical configurations:

how did you get vista 64bit
i just picked it, and assume since there was no choice it's 32bit

 

About the screen size, I ordered two Z61ts back in Nov/Dec 06. Both 14.1" screens on paper, one with camera, one without. When I got them in person, the one with the camera had a 14.1" screen, 1280x800, and the one without had a 14" screen, with 1280x768. Not a big deal, just a few pixels lost. In my opinion, you'd think the one with the camera would have a shorter screen, but it didn't end up that way. I assume it goes along with the bezel they use for each model. Just something I noticed.

 

For the Z61t, you could get the webcam with either the 14.0" or 14.1" screens. The difference is that the 14.0" panel is 200 nits while the 14.1" panel is 185 nits. (The 14.1" WXGA+ panel is also 200 nits though.)

 

That is interesting...

One thing I noticed about the T61 is that the screen is horribly off-centered... and it is the only aspect that kept me from buying it from day one, until I've seen more screen shots.

Will getting the 14.2" screen mean that the screen will be close to center now?

I hope so...
