I plan to do a review as soon as I get it.
But with a conservative ship date of 9/19, it might be a little too early to start taking questions.![]()
For the meantime, here's some info on specs from the ipbook as Lenovo hasn't stuck the technical sheet on the site yet.

Congrats, looking forward to the review too.

yep also ordered, 9/22 ship date
and it has 3GB 1066mhz DDR3, and switchable graphics.
only 0.9" thick - with no wedge so quite nice and an HDMI port
after the coupon which expires on the 25th (in notebook deals) - it was only $1045 shipped, and actually $945 after $100 cash back on live.com for these specs :
P7350 2Ghz 1066mhz FSB, 3MB cache
13.3" WXGA LED 1280x800
3GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM, 1066mhz
DVD+/-RW burner
320GB Hard Drive
ATI Radeon HD 3450 256mb/Integrated graphics (switchable)
6 cell battery
also added a 1 year accidental and at home warranty for $67....and with the $180 or so discount, came to only $1050 shipped
i would jump on that coupon asap! and also got $100 cashback with live.com cash back! making it $950 - AND THE 3GB/320GB VERSION HAS A PRICE ERROR, BEING THE SAME PRICE AS THE 2GB/250GB version - so i would jump on that! -
Ordered mine tonight, too. 3gb version was same price as 2gb. 9/19 ship date. Anyone know whether the U330 has a built in SD card reader? Also, is there WWAN capability or option?
-
I'm not that eager to order this without there being some reviews and user impressions (but ****, that deal is good!)
However, wouldnt you think that the price of this machine should stay about the same (new coupons and all) the following weeks? Dell, for instance, always has some sort of discount going on, what about Lenovo? -
well i don't think it will be this cheap for a while - especially with the 3GB/320GB version being the same price as the 2GB/250GB version....i think its a price error - but will ***** if they try to cancel my order for it
wilboy, sadly dont know for either of those.
that coupon was a big savings so i doubt lenovo will have too many too often like that, coupon ends 25th btw! i would jump on it, technically u shouldnt be charged till it ships so late september - incase u want to cancel your order to order another laptop -
I didn't know it has switchable graphic from briefly reading the Lenovo's page on its features.....congratulations on the order.....looking forward to the review!

The specs on lenovo's site are pretty vague. I saw other places that it had switchable graphics, but not on their own site.
Also, does it have a modem? The initial media reports say it does, but again...nothing on the lenovo site. I want to use this when I go overseas and broadband won't always be available. -
There is no WWAN option for the currently available models, but there is one open mini pcie slot inside.
There is no modem.
For more information on all Ideapads, see the ipbook. -
admlam,
thx for the specs. nice to see the screen brightness at 300 nits. i believe this is brighter than the x200. i'm happy I pulled the trigger to get one at last friday's pricepoint.
Ordered U330
