    Ordered my T61 Tonight

    I ordered my T61 tonight

    The specs include the 14.1" screen with the Nvidia Quadro
    Intel 2.0 T7300 processor
    120gb hard drive
    DVD-RW Burner
    Vista Ultimate
    512mb Memory...bought two 2 2gb by Patriot from New Egg
    Bluetooth
    6 cell battery
    3 year depot warranty
    42V8195 Keyboard (i don't know what keyboard this is but I saw it in another topic

    I hope this one ships before the estimated date of 7/24/2007 but I mean I'm content waiting, I got a system that originally would have cost in the 2600 range (because of 4gb ram) and got it for 1600 after all was said and done. So I'll be glad to wait for it.

    Hey you and me are in the same boat!

    I just ordered today too but I have a 15". We have the same 7/24 ship date though. The ship date is close enough to be reasonable but far away enough to be annoying. I guess we'll see.

    My specs:

    15.4" WSXGA+
    T7500
    DVDRW
    512MB RAM -> 2GB aftermarket
    60GB HDD -> 120GB 7200RPM aftermarket
    No bluetooth
    6-cell
    Vista Home Ultra Business Premium... who cares it's getting wiped for xp
    Atheros ABG
    X3100 bah
    who cares about warranties?

    at 1400 with aftermarket upgrdes added in, it's a pretty good deal :).

    By the way as someone explained on the forums before, the keyboard model number shown now is only a placeholder. You'll know the make when the computer is shipped. Until then it's just a generic model number for a US keyboard.

    How do I tell which keyboard I have? Have to take it apart?

    I really like my keyboard, and some of the newer thinkpads I have played around with in sams and best buy, not so much. Made me realize I need a new trackpoint cover though- mine's a smooth, dirty lump!
