Any reason not to order a T61 with the Integrated Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) option? I'm probably going to add 3G wireless at some later date. Will this option keep me from having to carry around either a card slot cell. modem or USB cell. modem? If it makes any difference, my carrier will probably be ATT.

    Thanks.

I choose the WWAN ready option and got the antenna for WWAN. I didn't get the card though, since I am not using this feature now. I would defenetly get the antenna atleast. I have heard that getting it setup later can be quite difficult.

Yes if you get the card it will keep you from having to carry around a card slot cell modem or usb cell modem.

It was wise of you to get the WWAN ready option since the antenna is harder to install than just the card.

Right now the WWAN card (Sierra MC8775) costs an incremental $150 at purchase time. It is more expensive to add it later. Plus some people have reported that it is hard to find.
