The only disadvantage is there is no customization. I found a setup very similar to mine that I was going to get (after cancelling the lenovo order) but then saw it had a few slight changes like slower hard drive and no protection warranty and it didnt come with the ultrabay battery I had ordered with mine. Other than that, it was the same and would come a lot faster.

Why order from CDW? PCconnection is cheaper. but obviously, the decision is up to you.

Doesn't CDW charge tax on all sales which on a notebook would significant.

I had to pay about $100 worth of tax when I ordered it from lenovo. It all depends on where you live and what the tax laws are. But that does suck that CDW charges tax on all orders.

For me, they were about equal price.

Even pcconnection is more expensive then lenovo.

    costs $1,845.40

Now is the faster ship date (and not-ideal-but-close specs) really worth $145? Maybe.

I ordered an R60 from CDW in January. I received it after a short delay (they insisted on calling me to verify my credit card).

When I opened the box, I found that the seal on the plastic bag containing the notebook was cut. I carefully inspected the box and found that the Lenovo packing tape on the BOTTOM of the bottom of the box had been cut and carefully taped over with clear packing tape. I also found a UPS shipping label for a guy in Arizona on the outside of the box that was covered over by a large black sticker.

Obviously CDW shipped the computer to the guy in Arizona who, after opening the box, decided to return it to CDW. I *assume* that CDW did not notice that the package had been opened. I ended up keeping the computer because I couldn't wait for a replacement but I will not purchase from them again. I do wonder if they would have even believed me if I called to return it on the basis that it had already been opened...
