I need a couple of spare parts for my T420s (4170).

Yet, I'm having hard time finding an inexpensive on-line source in Europe that stocks:

    - keyboards (not external, but the internal ones) with various layouts like Swedish**
    - Ultrabay battery (57Y4536)

Has anybody found a source for these in Europe? Ordering from outside Europe kills it for me due to shipping charges and customs/taxes.

** On a related note, I'm also having trouble understanding what is the difference between all the various FRU numbers that all are for the same model and for the same keyboard layout, see for example:

Try contacting www.nbwn.de, they have a lot of (refurbished) Lenovo stuff. Or, try some of the German student sites like www.ok1.de or www.campuspoint.de. They do sell international (internal) keyboards as un upgrade.

Search for powersellers in Ebay. Ebay UK has plenty of Lenovo/IBM parts. I also got a lot of parts from the german Thinkpad Forum.

I can't help with the keyboard but there's an UltraBay II battery on ebay UK for £45 which works fine with my T420s. It has about 10% less capacity than the current battery but is much more affordable.

Campuspoint answered my query, but the price of 57Y4536 battery is outrageous, 160 EUR + shipping.

That's for a 3-cell battery. Lenovo really knows how to rip people off with accessories :)

Thanks for the tips. I'll try and hunt the older battery for T420.

Here's the older bay battery. Mine has been giving excellent service in my T420s (I've corrected the typo in my previous post). I see that the seller says that they ship to Europe.
