It is 11PM Pacific time and the site has ThinkPad PC DOS License and 0.5GB rams. If I pull the trigger with those options, is it a valid order?

Probably. Lenovo has a way of screwing up their website from time to time, but they generally make a good effort of trying to satisfy customers that bite on their screwups. A lot of people got free 64GB SSDs for their x200 because Lenovo listed a 128GB SSD as a $70 DISCOUNT from a 80GB hard drive. The 128GB SSD didn't even exist, but Lenovo offered all those people an olive branch of a 64GB SSD at the same discount.

If you have a OS you want to put on you Thinkpad, plan on buying aftermarket RAM, and are otherwise satisfied with the config, I say go for it.

I originally ordered PC-DOS but they couldn't fill the order and ended up with Vista Home.

wow what sort of discount are you looking at if they honor that? If only they would offer such a thing more often I bet a lot of people would jump at the savings that entails.

When I configure a T400 through my schools discount I also get to choose that option...saves me about $65 over vista basic.
