i''m interested to buy these mouse. it seems that this mouse will suit my T61. but i want to ask several questions.
    1. how to find out that the mouse is the IBM original mouse? in my country indonesia, i've found a lot of IBM Thinkpad mouse. when i bought one of it, it only last for 1 months :-(
    2. because i've never use the real one, how good is this mouse? i prefer a slow/unsensitive mouse.
sorry for my bad english thank you

I can suggest at this point that you buy it from an authorised Lenovo retailer instead from just any computer hardware shop.

I got mine this 30 June 2007 and it has the following details printed under the mouse :
    - "Model" number
    - "ASM P/N" number
    - "FRU P/N" number
    - "S/N" serial number
    - It has the wordings "Made in China Manufactured for Lenovo"
    - The manufacturing company is printed as "Primax Manufacturing Ltd"

The above details can still be copied by "pirates"; so the best assurance is still to get it from an authorised Lenovo retailer.

How good ? Answer : Parts are fitted very well. The buttons are light to press and sensitive to register. The "scroll" wheel at the center of the mouse buttons will glow in red when your notebook is ON; it will function as intended. The USB plug has an additional detachable "adapter" so that the mouse can be attached to older non-USB round-head connection point found in older PCs. Sensitivity with or without mouse-pad is very good with no skip. Colour of mouse is entirely black (including cable) with matte-surface finishing. The lower-right prints "ThinkPad" with a small red-dot on the letter "i".

Just in case someone in this forum writes back stating that his / her mouse is different, let me stress now that the above description is based on the ThinkPad mouse I have.
