What do I lose if I install an original Windows 7 that isn't from Lenovo? Will I lose any functionality from the keyboard or additional software?
    Thanks in advance.

    Short answer: Nothing, and no.

Longer answer: Not if you reinstall the appropriate hardware drivers and ThinkVantage software, no (this is easily done by using ThinkVantage System Update). The only thing that you'll be missing is the alleged "Enhanced Experience" optimization, but from what I've seen, it doesn't do a whole lot of good (a clean install is better).
