Man they had like 50 or so of the extended version for approx 50 bucks a few months back, now they don't have any.

How long do you think it will take for them to have another batch available? Curious on how it works with them.

Just camp out the Outlet site, they'll have them in big bunches. Apparently there have been people who have gotten very low charge wear/cycles.

You're guess is as good as mine as to when they'll get more. You can probably find some new ones on eBay for a bit more, but they may have been sitting for a while.

yeah I picked up 3 of the 9 cells about a month ago for 25 each. cycle counts were 0 on them all and they work beautifully. Have one in a T60, T61 and W500. I watched the site from probably a month or two...

If you go the eBay route, make sure you get a genuine "OEM" battery (use the words in your search). There are lots of knock-offs that aren't as good as a Lenovo OEM battery.

I managed to score my 9-cell for around $40 a few months ago, genuine Lenovo OEM.

Genuine is not the best, but they are the safer alternative.

Some sellers on eBay like to use the term "genuine" but not OEM. The key is to get ones that are OEM-branded Lenovo ones.

I prefer them, since they are the safer alternative and tend to not suddenly drop in capacity over time.

Amazon's actually got some decent, cheap, non-OEM 9-cells at the moment. I picked one up for my T61 and am quite happy with it.

    Amazon.com: New Replacement 9 Cells High Capacity Li-Ion Battery for IBM ThinkPad R60 Z60, R60e, T60, T60p, Z60m, Z61e, Z61m, Z61p Series [ONLY for Laptops of 14.1 & 15.0 standard screens and 15.4" widescreen]: Electronics

As with all Amazon reviews, some of the low ones are by people who apparently don't understand what does and does not constitute a fault with a product...

get the Boston Power batteries they are the better alternative when it comes to these T60 and T61 batteries.
