Americans, at least you can be happy about laptop prices during recession.
I wish outlet could ship worldwide.

I've been told by industry insiders that netbooks have much higher return rates than regular laptops, on the scale of 30% return. Various reasons I imagine, but guessing largely because people that get them are first time buyers tempted by the low price and then underwhelmed by the screen size and power and then get buyer's remorse and return. You just have to know what your needs are for a netbook to fit them.

There's some ridiculously good deals on X201 Tablets as well. If I had the money, I would totally pounce on one of those deals.

    Great find, drake437!

One of those R500 with the WSXGA+ LCD for $500 is pretty tempting, just like the WXGA+ E6400 for $450 from the Dell Outlet yesterday. I'm pretty happy with my X200. I think I'll save my money.

    Hey ZaZ
I just bought a new t510 (integrated graphics) with a SSD and 8 gigs of ram for 1250. Man I hope everything goes smoothly. I think I'll add the 3 year warranty and I should be set. Thanks for all your advice!!
    Best regards,
    Erich

Is it a bad machine or something?

That depends on what you get it for. If you buy one expecting super long battery runtime, it'll be a poor choice. If you buy one expecting a cool, ultra-silent machine, it'll also be a pretty bad choice. But if you need an affordable and portable netbook with good build quality and a good keyboard, the X100e is a fine machine.

Not bad, but not great as MidnightSun pointed out. I personally think it make a great secondary machine and for about $350( :D ) , it's a great deal.

What kind of battery run time does it get? I'd consider an x100e if I hadn't just picked up a 14" T60. This machine isn't the lightest thing, but it's not bad.

About 4 hours with word and internet. Far short of other netbooks.

Well, that's not too awful. Still, I recall the X60 could do well over 6 hours on its extended battery. And it was a pretty powerful machine.
