I got my 14.1 inch wxga+ T61 yesterday. I could not be happier, no sparkle, dead pixels, anything. I havent figured out if its an LG or a samsung, (I think samsung) Every laptop i going to have its ups and downs. Even the comparable dell is having the same screen problems but i have heard that the problems were due to a bad shipment or batch of LCD's and it looks like we may be past the problem.

this website is somewhat like a car's service department. Its usually the ones with problems that chime in. I have a samsung 14.1 WS screen and its good. No sparkle, horizontal viewing angle is good, vertical viewing angle sucks, but thats the same case with ALL 14.1 WS screens, no matter what mfg PC you own.

That depends on the video card as well. With nVida 140M I get about 2:30 hours on a 6 cell.

I got the WXGA screen, and I couldn't be happier either. A few simple difficulties were quickly dealt with by tech support with competence and courtesy. I have three dead pixels, but everyone has dead pixels. Use Dead Pixel Buddy, and you'll find them. But, even so, it's only three and you'd never know they were dead.
