This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    P52 Audio just stopped working...

    Hey All:

    Anyone have any experience with audio not working?

    I left my laptop on at the office last night and when I came in this morning, the fan was spinning full speed and the computer was completely hung. I had to restart it with the power button (hold for 5 secs, etc...).

    Upon restarting, I have NO audio. At first, the speaker icon in the tray had a red X through it that the mute button couldn't remove. I was able to fix this in :services" but I can not get any sound out of the machine. After a ton of surfing and trying several "fixes" I'm still without sound on my laptop.

    Any ideas?
