    I'm stressing a little.

I just placed an order, and my discounts and coupon were registered, reflected in total after tax when I entered amex number, then order confirmation page immediately after this showed same total... NOW I get an email stating a price that does NOT reflect my sxga coupon! Nor does the order status page linked in the email.

Surely this isn't normal. How could they charge a different amount than what I AGREED to when I hit the order button?!

I had the same problem using the USXIBMSPPTRIPLE coupon. Only mine didn't show at checkout or in the confirmation email.

They can't is the simple answer to the question you posed. I would immediatly call up the company you ordered fromand have a "chat" about the situation. It may however prove difficult to say that you agreed to a different price, unless you have some sort of proof.

There is of course the possibility that you misread, but it seems unlikely to me that you would do so consistently.

If calling them doesn't work and considering that they haven't applied the coupon you used, it may still be valid. Then I would consider cancelling the order and reorder the identical configuration (make some printouts too, so that you have some sort of proof of the price)

Snapped a screenshot of the order confirmation page, definitely didn't misread it.

Going to sit on this for a while and think...

But it worked in the cart? Did you eventually get your discount? Maybe this is normal, and the confirmed price will be charged.

    Plot thickens...

Fatwallet cash back email came in today- got cash back on CORRECT purchase amount (reflecting coupon), not the higher amount sent in the confirmation email (which did not reflect coupon). So we have...

    Case for "coupon worked":
    -price in cart
    -total at checkout
-total listed on confirmation page after order submitted (PrtSc'd)
-price reflected from fatwallet cash back

    Case for "Coupon, NO work"
    -email confirmation
-order status linked in same email

I'm SURE I've read a discussion around here a while back regarding something similiar in emails and that it wasn't actually a discrepancy, just an anomaly in the way lenovo does their coupons.

Yes it showed that the coupon gave me 5% off in the cart but my final price was 5% more than what the cart quoted. That's why I decided to cancel my SPP and just go with student discount which is just 5% since I'm a student anyway. Both were the quoted price without shipping and tax.

Total price difference was exactly $250, the exact amount of coupon.

Yes, I saved a screen shot of that confirmation page showing the correct price.

I emailed customer service. They responded by telling me to call sales about it. I have another email addres which I'll try b/f cancelling, because I am done CALLING lenovo. I need documented correspondence with these guys, I have been burned by too many lies on the phone with lenovo I can't prove.

I'm thinking it's ok if Fatwallet is showing the correct price for my cash back, because they get paid based on that price too. We'll see.
