    Hey Everybody,

I have had my T61p for only a week but am surprised and pleased to see all the web sources and drivers out there for the FX570M.

I see FX570M drivers on Nvidia, Windows update, Laptopvideo2go, Lenovo, and the forums.

And, I am wondering which ones users ended up using and why....

Can you post your driver and use (or reason why you chose your driver?)

In my case, I am using the 169.04 combined with the forum conversion to the 8600GT. This works great for all my gaming: Crysis, HL2Deathmatch, BioShock, and C&C3. I found this driver/inf on the forum and am very happy with the results.

    How about your case?

    Please post.

I am actually using the stock drivers off Lenovo's site. I do the windows updates as well when they come. I don't game much on the laptop though. The main game I play is Team Fortress 2 which runs great! :)

I'm using FX570m generic nvidia drivers with the laptop2go inf.

I get a bit better performance in TF2 and WoW than the lenovo fx570m driver and no issues with stability or artifacts or anything.

I am planning on installing the 169.04 drivers from laptop2go with the modified inf file. If I uninstall my FX570 drivers first and then install the 169.04 drivers will I lose the on screen brightness control meter? I thought I read something about that not working if you uninstall the FX570 drivers. Can someone confirm this.
    Thanks,
    Tim

    Tim,

Is your brightness meter under Vista? I did what you described and my o/s is XP.....and I still have the Fn brightness function/indicator and all the original thinkpad hotkey functions. I am not sure what you mean by brightness meter.
