I wish the T400 offered a LED SXGA+. 14.1 4:3 Thinkpad is still my favorite configuration.

Mine has the WXGA (1280x800) 14-inch matte screen, and as a result I am looking to replace my laptop. The screen sucks in terms of brightness and vibrancy, and it has too few pixels for my needs. Lesson learned: always go with the higher choice of resolution (at least if your eyesight is normal like mine).

I'm so tired of 1280x800 that I'm now going to the other extreme: 17-inch 1920x1200.

My T61 has the 14.1" SXGA+ screen. Wouldn't trade it for any other screen, not even widescreen...

I'm also a proud owner of a 14.1" SXGA+ Thinkpad, I just got my T61 in time, it seems there are no longer units available at Lenovo Store.
I've always hated widescreen laptops, the most sweet factor is the 4:3 standard, don't know why Lenovo completely ditched those displays, Thinkpads are supposedly business oriented, but they went consumer route.

A real shame, because this will be my last Thinkpad ever to be purchased new 4:3 FF.
