I noticed that when my computer wakes from hibernation, after 5 min of use I get the POWER STATE Failure bsod.

How come? I have the latest BIOS and drivers from lenovo's site and it should've addressed these issues, correct?

I would suggest to test it with Driver Verifier. Just load drivers group-by-group to see what causes the problem.

Ideally, you should disable hibernate when using an SSD. Every time you hibernate, the OS is writing to your SSD the equivalent of your system memory. Why not just use standby? Or even shutdown? With the Samsung 830 you can probably get to a working desktop very quickly.

I'm now getting the same error when coming from a standby. What wrong with my T420?

When you hibernate the laptop did you close the lid right away?

I forgot to mention, that I've disabled hibernation since a post above suggested this a while ago. Now from sleep.
