After typing on the keyboard of my R61 for long durations of time (read: +3 hrs), my palms start getting really hot from the contact. I somewhat understand that the HD is generating heat under my right palm but there's only empty express slots under my left palm.. What gives? Is there a way to stick something between the internal casing and the external plastic that could dissipate that heat a little better?

The RAM is on the left side generating heat.

its the overall heat in my opinion and that place is just thinner so it shows the heat.

I keep my R61i running for many hours at a time on the internet with WI-FI on and I never felt any heat coming from the palm rest.
The memory slots are under the touch pad in the middle of the palm rest aren't they?
