after seeing this site:
Paragon Migrate OS to SSD - System migration to Solid State Drives (SSD) - Overview
i realized this would be the most convienient way to install windows in a intel 310 msata. Alignment will be taken care of and it will be exactly the same factory image.
Opinions for those who tried it?
i don't mind negating the performance boost when doing the clean install because if i so chose to do that...there would be a good chance i will mess up on something.

I also have a copy of Paragon Migrate lying around and a 310 msata drive on its way to me. I also wonder if it's any good for setting the 310 up as an OS drive?
My other question is:
I finally made my recovery discs today, about a month and a half after receiving my X220i. Should I have done it a month and a half ago and will this make the discs less suitable? -
I'm having trouble fathoming how someone can mess up something on a clean install. I personally would go with a clean install if you are switching from a HDD to SSD.

Okay, so nobody's tried the Paragon software?

If you would like to do this migration, I've lined out a method that worked great using free tools -
