    FRU Part Number: 42T0427

    14.1 INCH LCD DISPLAY FRU

    I ordered the t61 with a 14.1 wxga + screen.

I read the sticky, but this FRU doesn't match with the given website: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-67914

Very awkward. So do you any of you guys know if I received the LG or Samsung screen?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Note: I don't have my t61 yet, it's currently in transit. Damn...

You have to enter your serial number and part number into the given website on the sticky. Otherwise, you will not get the FRU's needed to look up your part.

I did enter my serial number and part number. And as my first post insists, my FRU for the 14.1 screen is 42T0427. However it is not matching with the given site on the sticky...

    NVM I figured it out.

I got the LG screen, but the chicony keyboard! Damn

Is it that bad? I mean it's still an IBM keyboard.

Your personal preference is not the same as my personal preference. That's why we call them personal preferences. Give it a try when you receive your computer. Good chances are, you won't even care.
