This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Password Manager update won't install!!

    Yesterday I downloaded a bunch of updates for ThinkVantage software. Now when I boot and start IE, an update for Password Manger tries to load. I click on the Vista "BIG BROTHER" warning saying to allow. Update progress scroll bar moves to end and then scrolls back, as if program installed and then uninstalled. After that every time I open a new tab in IE, it tries to install the update again and fails again!! Most annoying!!

    Any idea what is going wrong? This is Vista Ultimate. Yes, my user has admin privliges.
