    Not positive, but I believe that may be a drive with a JMicron controller (best to avoid).

    The brand of the SSD is irrelevant. What matters is the controller. Get either an Intel, Indillix, or Samsung controller.

    Its not that easy; The newer JMicron JMF618/612 are reasonably fast. However, the Patriot drive has the by-now ancient JMF602. Avoid!

    Even the current JMicrons are behind Toshiba, Samsung, Indilinx and Intel...

    The JMF618 is, depending on the type of benchmark, sometimes faster and sometimes slower than the indilinx drives. While by no means a stellar performer, its no slouch either.
