I've been looking to get a Lenovo t61 of some sort (either the base or (more preferably) the T61p), and using the Paypal coupon (expires Feb 8) along with the current regular $300 off, for this build:

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7500 (2.2GHz 800MHz 4MBL2)
Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium US English
    15.4 WSXGA+ TFT
NVIDIA Quadro FX 570M (256MB Open GL)
    1 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz SODIMM Memory (1 DIMM)
    Keyboard US English
UltraNav (TrackPoint and TouchPad) with Fingerprint Reader
    80GB Hard Disk Drive, 5400rpm
DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer, Ultrabay Slim
PC Card Slot & Express Card Slot
4 in 1 Media Card Reader
Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Link 4965AGN (supporting Centrino Pro)
    Integrated Bluetooth PAN
    6 cell Li-Ion Battery
Power cord: Country Pack North America
    Language Pack US English

I get $1406.70 or $1563.00 without the coupon.

This is all ok, and within my (projected) budget, but my main question (as stated in the title) is: does anyone actually use their Paypal account to order a Thinkpad, and is there any additional difficulties associated with it (ship delays, payment delays, other concerns)?

My thinking is: if it's too much of a hassle to use the Paypal coupon, the additonal savings might not be worth it, and I should probably cut back on a couple of the components (CD-RW instead of the DVD burner, for instance) to save a bit of money.

Also, a somewhat unrelated question: call to order, or use the Web interface to order? Any thoughts?

I'm able to get that same setup using the CPP code for $1,269.05. No coupons or anything either.

Nice Arkit3kt, that CPP code comes in handy, eh? Just curious, can just anyone use that? I'd hate to get into trouble using something I wasn't supposed to.

Anyone can use it, althought it was intended for family and friends of contractors. If you know the code, you can order one online no problem. Just don't go around here asking for the code, it's against the rules.

I understand completely, I just was looking for some clarification in the matter.
