Does anyone actually use thiers for anything? It seems to be one of the biggest draws for the t43 over the t42 but if I'm not sure how I will require it.

Actually they both have a PCMCIA slots. Most machines have this, with the exception of a few ultra portables. Anyway, you can use it for a memory card reader, wireless card, air card, Bluetooth, and several other expansion options.

hey Bruce, I think what you are referring to is the ExpressCard slot on the T43 and not the PCMCIA slot. The T42 has two PCMCIA slots whereas the T43 has an ExpressCard slot and a PCMCIA slot. The ExpressCard slot is a little useless at the moment as there's virtually no accessories on the market that use this card slot for upgrades. Eventually there will be, and having the old and new technology accessory upgrade slots is a nice to have. However, I don't think it's a big deal to not have an ExpressCard slot at all...most laptops do not right now.
