Hey guys, I think I have this cpu whine issue, but it seems everyone says their CPUs make noise when IDLE, whereas mine makes noise when DOING something, like if I drag a window around on the desktop (with integrated GPU it takes lots of CPU to move windows around). Or if I watch an HD movie, the sound is similar to the one in this video:

    www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuTRp2F0zRI

    At like 0:24 it starts..

Is this the whine you all are referring to??

Is it decided that it doesnt actually damage anything..?

I have T3200, like it says in Sig..vvv

I have a x61 tablet built in June 2007. 4GB ram, intel x25-m SSD, MT/MV, BT, L7500. The noise happens when I move around windows. Even when I try changing all those power settings, still there. Try this, screen saver - 3D Text - preview. You'll hear the whine continuously. I'm gonna open it up and see if I can find the source before I send it in again. Every time it goes into the depot, the sides get more scuffed.

I have another x61 tablet made in March 2009, 1GB ram, 160GB 5400 rpm HDD, regular lcd, L7500. The noise is still there on the second tablet, but significantly less.
