    Hi,

I'm looking for a laptop case / bag for my X200 with 9-cell battery, and these are what I have in mind. It's mostly used for work. Can you please give me some input, thanks.

    1. ThinkPad Executive Leather Case

It's leather so it's easy to clean. Downside is that it's bit ugly and a bit too big for a X200.

It's not leather so it's not easy to clean. Size is perfect for X200 but if I spend a bit more I can get the leather one above. Plus I might not be able to put a book in it with my X200 in it and / or perhaps A/C adaptor.

Not leather, not easy to clean. However, it's cheap and stylish. A bit big for a X200 though.

    4. Some designer leather messenger bag
Expensive, perhaps less practical as well?

Please let me know what you think. Thank you.

If you can find it (it's been discontinued for about a year) I would HIGHLY recommend the ThinkPad Leather Ultraportable case. It was originally designed for a 12.1" X40 or a 14.1" T40 (w/ 6 cell). However, it is picture perferct for the x200(s) with 9 cell, x200T with 8 cell, and should work very well for the x300/x301 [the T400s and other 14.1" wide models will NOT fit]. Here is a quick picture of what it can hold taken from an array of pictures here.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I can't seem to find it on eBay, but at least it shows what the non-leather ultraportable one would hold.

I do not believe that the design of the ThinkPad Leather Ultraportable case ( circa 2005) and ThinkPad Ultraportable case ( circa 2009) are comparable.

A quick Google search turned up two Leather Ultraportable cases on Amazon marketplace for about $30. This is the angle I would recommend.

Ah I see, so it probably seems spacious because it's designed for non-wide screen laptops. Hmm...I'm not sure if I really like the look of it, but it's definitely an option. Thanks again.

While searching for more pictures of the case you have, I found this one. However, I'm struggling to find one :(
