I am probably gonna get the NVs 140 card instead of the Quadro 570( by default) in a T61. I dont do much gamming, will this affect my power when it comes to doing video conversions-- H264 to DVD--avi to Divx--Xvid to DVD--DVD to Xvid--ect,ect,ect. ?? I also have a small home recording studio and will be using software like--Avid's Digidesign Pro Tools--Waves Convoluted studio reverbs and multiband compression mastering algorithms. Will the lesser video card have much of an impact in these applications?? And we thank you for your support.

P.S. Convoluted reverb is a clssification of reverb where the actual sonic characteristics of a particular enviorment( Carnegie Hall or the Grand Cannyon for example) are measured using precision techniques and the properties of those physical spaces are applied to audio recordings instead of using standard pre-sets of reverb emulation hardware and software.

    In a word, no.

All those tasks will be dependent on the CPU.
