Looks like some forum members weren't all that impressed with a T61 surviving a motorcycle rolling over it. Well, here's a video where a guy drives his PICKUP TRUCK right over his Thinkpad, and the Thinkpad survived!

This is on the lenovo site along with a bunch of other videos of it surviving unbelievable stuff. The video is old and in no way is the thinkpad in the vid a T61...T60 maybe. Actually, looks closer to a T43 if anything...

Ya, they have a Fire one and a Stolen one that are kinda interesting too.

Funny, my T61 does not feel so far off from the T60s and other previous thinkpads I have used...in fact I think it feels just as solid.

Why rip on the T61...the T61 is really solidly built and one amazing machine in person (like all Thinkpads are).

Hmm, here's my opinion. They show a laptop, put all the hardest material that is nearly unbreakable, after the promotion is done, they throw it away. lol

Well, I have seen some tests like these done in person with other brands, and it actually is the truth (Toughbooks and Durabooks). Amazing how much some of these ruggedized things can take. (now the Thinkpads are not quite that ruggedized, but still very good)

I wasn't at all ripping on the T61...I was just saying it was not a T61 in the video like the originator of this thread claimed.
