Picture of T61 9-cell battery?

I've searched through the forums for info about the 9 cell battery on the 15.4" T61 and the most info I can find about how much it sticks out is that it sticks out 2cm.

I was hoping someone could take a picture and how how much it sticks out.

I'm about to purchase a T61 with the non nvidia graphics card hoping that the battery will last a decent amount of time. My T42 right now lasts about 40 minutes. From what I've read the 6-cell seems to last about 3 or 4 hours and the 9-cell about 5 hours. Is that right?

Thats a pic of a 7 -Cell battery, dont know if the 9 cell would stick out more. I'd imagine it would be about the same.

I don't have an option to configure 7-cell from the EPP site I'm using. Only 6 and 9. The 9 is $25 more. I'm more worried about how much it will stick out rather than the price.

This is the 9-cell battery as noted in his signature. It really doesn't stick out much at all!

 

The battery sticks out exactly 1" from the back of the notebook. It makes the overall depth of the notebook 11" instead of 10".

 

That's for the 9 cell or the 7 cell?

If that is the 9 cell, you know how much depth changes for the 7?

 

Eh not so sure it matters. I think I might bag it. 1" still looks pretty big. You dont' think it is, but going from 10" to 11" depth is 10% bigger.

I think I might take my risk on the 4 cell (that is the only one that doesn't increase the dimensions, right?). I don't need super long use anyway and if I do, I can always buy another battery or add one to the Ultradrive, right?

 

It's for the 9-cell on the 15.4" model. I have no idea what the measurements are for the 7-cell, and i dont know if the 14.1" and 15.4" batteries are interchangeable or compatible.

I agree, the extra battery life is great, but the extra 1" of depth makes the difference in getting the notebook into a backpack comfortably, or not at all.

I would be interested in a review about the 6-cell's battery life on a 15.4" T61 w/wsxga+ resolution.

 

i got a 9 cell, it sticks out maybe 6/7 an inch

 

where is the best (cheapest, authentic,) place to buy thinkpad batteries, aside from direct??
