    Is there way to obtain picture on external monitor through DVI on PortReplicatorII?
    (If not, what is the sense of DVI connector? :confused: )

    It depends on your laptop. If you look at the Tabook (in the sticky), it will mention if your particular laptop has "DVI passthrough". If it does not, you won't get anything on the DVI port.
