My LCD flickers in pink in square box shaped of various size (but not full screen.. maybe like 1/10 to 1/5 at biggest) every once in awhile.

But it seems like it's only doing that while I'm using Chrome and go to specific web pages.

Some sites flicker in white but barely visible.

It seems like there is 2-3 sites that does this.. haven't noticed anything like this while on NBR for example.

I tried unscrew, rescrew the ribbon cables and stuff but it doesn't seem to get better..

It's not to the point that I can't use it (since it flickers every rare occasion) but it's bothering me..

    What could be wrong???

Update: Noticed there are various video driver and BIOS, etc avail.. installed all but still same..

Perhaps for starters you could say which ThinkPad you have. So it only happens when using Chrome?

    Sorry. I have X200.

It seems like it's doing flickering only within Chrome. And it only seem to be flickering in 2 or 3 web pages.. and this is one of them.

Chris paul telling Pau: "he soft n u know it" to kobe n Pau • Lakers Forum

When I'm on this site, it flickers in pink every once in awhile.. and I noticed just now when I stop by the GIF file on second post that page, it flickers fast for about 3-4 repetitions.

I tried leaving the desktop only for several minutes as well as play video, open some applications.. doesn't seem to flicker.

Another site that's occasionally flickering is Laker Nation Forums but it is hardly visible, flickering in white.

Otherwise, maybe I'm not catching it with other web pages.. or seeing a placebo effect. It may seem like it flickers in white, but hardly visible in eyes. It just seems like something is flashing, but it isn't as easily noticeable as the pink ones.

Those are the two main sites that seem to flicker a lot. I don't think I've seen flickering on other sites yet...

Update: Tried googling some Lakers GIF video on the web and it sure does flicker in white.. so I think it's not web site specific.

Update 2: Downloaded that specific GIF and played on Chrome. It flickers in white once and doesn't seem to flicker..

Update 3: Inserted that same GIF on PowerPoint and played the slideshow. No flicker.. HMM..? Tried white, black and purple (to look like ClubLakers.com like).. same no flicker.

Update 4: It might be Chrome's about:flags experimental setting. Chrome updates automatically so I guess it might've enabled some setting. I disabled everything that has to do with GPU acceleration and it doesn't seem to flicker.

Will keep you updated if something occurs.. Thanks!
