I want to game with it (not CAD).

Reason I'm choosing Lenovo is because I like the durability and warranty along with the support.

    Here are my specs:
Intel Core i7-2920XM Processor Extreme Edition (2.50GHz, 8MB L3, 1333MHz FSB) with Intel Turbo Boost Technology up to 3.5GHz
15.6" FHD (1920x1080) LED Backlit Anti-Glare display, with Wireless WAN Antenna
NVIDIA Quadro 2000M Optimus Graphics technology (2GB)
    Colour sensor
Express Card Slot, 4-in-1 Card Reader & Smart Card Reader
    Broadcom Bluetooth 3.0 with antenna
    Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 AGN

I plan on doing RAID0 with two Vertex 3 MAX IOPS along with 16GB 1866 RAM.

I know that the Quadro 2000 isn't necessarily a 'gaming' GPU, but I'm wondering how it would fare. Will I be able to play a lot of games with High to Ultra settings with a good FPS? How does this compare to the GTX555 the Alienware M14x has?

I honestly don't remember if you can take out the color sensor or not, but i feel like if you can, you would save some money.

16 Gigs of ram is a little bit of an overkill IMO.

And think about getting not the TOP CPU because thats just a lot of extra money that you are spending that most of the time isn't worth it. But check the benchmarks on this one. I don't remember the choices.
