I found this model in russian store:

    Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 59337260 (59-337260)

    - i7 (3610QM)
    - 15.6 (1920x1080)
    - nvidia 660
    - 8gb ram

    My questions:

    - is it gddr3 or gddr5 on videocard?
    - does nvidia support this laptop? will i install driver for nvidia optimus from nvidia.com or i'll have to use lenovo one?
    - is there any common problems? hinge degradation? overhear problem? any other hardware difficulties?

All the Y580 use GDDR5 for the GeForce.
HDD temperature is something people keep mentioning. I plan to solve this with an SSD. :D

I personally haven't had any temp issues, I do have a coolermaster U2 under it while it's sitting on my desk which I think is just prudent for any laptop that you're using as a desktop replacment. As far as nVidia, no they haven't released any retail drivers for any of the 600 series mobile chips yet so we're stuck with either the retail driver from Lenovo which is working fine for me or nVidia beta drivers which have had mixed reviews.
