MY LATEST STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE-PLEASE BEWARE!!!!!!

End of last month I ordered a laptop from LENOVO (CHINESE) and lord be hold I went into a tail spin.
Not only I got a entirely wrong configuration ( what do you expect when things are done in Mexico,China or India-NO Q/A), I was then asked to return the Laptop.
I returned the Laptop as per instructions from the Company and not only I was billed for two computer but I did not even get the one I ordered.

Instead of LAPTOPS I receive Two invoices for Two Computers on ONE ORDER and that was charged to my CARD (SO PLEASE BEWARE)
On numerous emails and Telephone calls, I was told to call my credit card company ( another pain in the neck) and ask them to dispute this with LENOVA.
SO NOT ONLY I AM WITHOUT A COMPUTER BUT HAVE BEEN BILLED TWICE AND LENOVA CANADA DOES NOT CARE, THEY SAY ITS MY PROBLEM.
I PERSONALLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LENOVA AND ALSO NOT PART WITH CREDIT CARD NUMBER- THEY WILL ABUSE IT BY RE BILLING.
PLEASE PAY HEED TO MY CIRCUMSTANCE WITH THIS COMPANY AND YOU WILL SAVE A LT OF GRIEF-THAN YOU.

I had to hit the reply button to see what you wrote without the font you put.

Did you order from Lenovo China or Lenovo Canada? It's really confusing. There's no way you won't get your money back if Lenovo is at fault here.

I know the other two posters have said this already, but what's with the font formatting? If you want any sympathy/help from posters, please use formatting that is not aesthetically obnoxious.

I sympathize with your situation. It is very wrong for lenovo to put you through this trouble. However, purchasing experience vary from customer to customer. When ordering online, goof ups happen. I know it has not happened to me, so I can only try to empathize with you. But it is not fair to make generalization about a seller based on one single experience...as painful as it may have been.

Though i whole heatedly agree with you that no one would want to go through this. And I thank you for sharing your experience with us, so that new purchaser can get a sense of what variety of purchasing experiences they can expect when they go out buying things online and take necessary precautions ahead of time.

I hope you resolve the issue with lenovo and the credit card company and end up getting a good machine. I know nobody wants to deal with such things specially at this time of the year. Hope your computer arrives soon and you enjoy it enough to let this bad experience slide. Sorry mate.

I'm kinda confused, you ordered from Lenovo China although you live in Canada?

Like I've see quite a few ppl who had similar problems with Lenovo Canada. They were shipped the wrong notebook, and then shipped the correct. They called in and Lenovo told them to return the wrong one, and once it was returned they would get their money refunded.

Sorry about that, I ordered the Laptop from Canada and it was manufactured in China and shipped from there.
Yes, that is what happened, but I was billed for two Laptops, since they already had my Credit Card Number and I have still to recieve my Laptop.
Those people, you mentioned, were lucky at least they got their money back.

You need to be more precise and crystal clear here.

You just have to escalade the issue and prove Lenovo Canada made a mistake. They have too much to lose to rip you off this way. Are you sure that there aren't any laptops on their way to you?

My guess is the second laptop is being shipped at this time. Although it sounds obscure and crazy to charge you for a second time, it's the only way for them to guarantee that they will get their money.

They are not trying to fraud you, but they want to be sure they have the laptop before they give you back the money. They have no way of knowing what you sent back to them.

Yeah the logistics are ridiculous, but the laptops are good.

Lenovo is seriously a big turn off right now...
I'm hearing horrible stories about shipping, customer services and other terrible things
I really wanted a T400 but I will hold off permanently.
To OP, I hope you get everything fixed

Sir, its unfortunate you were double-billed and I'm on your side regarding that. Your credit card company would have the most weight in handling and resolving that. BTW leave the racist BS out of your complaint as it has nothing to do with your gripe. If you knew anything about technology the entire guts of most consumer technology products are usually designed in Asia and manufactured in Asia. Has been like that for at least the past 10 years. Any long time card holder would know a single call to to the card issuer would take care of this immediately. Your profile says you are an IT person but you don't know anything about technology supply chains.

You ever hear two wrongs don't make a right?

I'd agree where something is made has little to do with the quality of the product. Rather the standard it is made to is much more important. Your issue seems to be with sales and billing, which ironically, have little do with China, India or Mexico.

I'm going to take a wild guess that you never owned a 600 series which was built in Guadalajara, did you? I know the A series people will take umbrage with this, but the 600 series, in particular the 600X, was the pinnacle of all the ThinkPad models.

I agree with you regarding Fraud, but I have already sent them the laptop back with the tracking number and also the name of the person who received it and still I was charged for two and I do not have even the one I ordered. Let us hope you are right of one being on its way- Thanks .

"( what do you expect when things are done in Mexico,China or India-NO Q/A),"

It's easy to be racist and blame foreign countries. Laptop's have come down in price from $2000-2500 to way less because of cheaper labor or cheap support in these countries.

Consumers dictate behavior. If consumers wanted US built laptops fully stafed by US employees they would have been willing to buy $2500 laptops over $500-1000 laptops.

They guy's not even worth addressing nor helping. Uses race to vent his frustrations when the reality is that is the first fallback blame because he has nothing else going to stand tall on. lol. BTW, customer service is in the US and Canada.
