I am a new poster and would like to join the T61 club.

On the lenovo site for the wireless adapter, there are three options:
    1- Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (US/CAN/LA/AP)

    2- Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG (US/CAN/LA/AP)

    3- ThinkPad 11a/b/g Wi-Fi wireless LAN Mini-PCIe US/EU/LA/ANZ

Can someone please tell me the diffences between them?

    thanks in advance

Here are some links that should help you out with the Intel Cards.

    1 - http://www.intel.com/network/connectivity/products/wireless/wireless_n/overview.htm Same as #2 but with draft-N capabilities.

2 - http://www.intel.com/network/connectivity/products/wireless/prowireless_mobile.htm Standard modern wireless card. Pretty much the same as #3 except from Intel.

3 - Basically an Atheros wireless card capable of ABG connections. If you aren't interested in N, I recommend this card. IMO, has better range and costs less than #2. Also more capable of Linux if you ever choose to use that Operating System any time down the line.
