I have a Lenovo R61, which came with Vista Home Basic and recently just did windows anytime upgrade to Vista Home Premium, and lost my ability to acess the system rescue recovery console before windows loads (when you press the blue ThinkVantage button before windows loads). I can see in computer management that the hidden partition is still there, however i cannot use the blue button to access it. I see there is a rescue recovery repair diskette avaiable online for this problem, however my laptop did not come with a floppy drive. anyone have any suggestions for my problem, i would greatly appreciate your help. thank you.

go to the lenovo site and download some bios updates?

thanks, however i already had the latest bios which does not let me update the same bios again.

go to Lenovo, download and install R&R over again. This should solve your problem. Seen this many times.

thanks, i tried that with rescue recovery 4.1 and didnt work, but i will go again and try it with 4.0 and also 3.1 and see if it makes a difference.

thanks again, i downloaded RnR version 4.0 and after that was installed then my blue button started working again. Thats weird how 4.1 does not fix that, but anyways its fixed.
Please help with Rescue Recovery Repair!!
