Just as the title says. I just thought it would be interesting to see the number of people who went with the 14.1 instead of the 15.4, or vise versa.

14.1" for me. Portability in mind.

I got the 15.4 screen and the computer is still pretty lite compared to my macbook pro it is replacing.

I went with 14.1 inch, but that may have been a mistake. In hindsight, I might be better off with the 15.4-inch model.

I had thought to get something reasonably portable, but the 14.1-inch model really isn't. It's too big and clunky to be something I want to travel with. Others may disagree, but that's my view. And 1400x900 resolution isn't quite enough for easy, side-by-side viewing. The 15.4-inch model with WSXGA+ would be better for that.

Were I buying all over again, I'd probably order a 15.4-inch with the WSXGA+ resolution.

Thats what i have, the 15.4 inch with wsxga+ and the resolution is perfect, very clear and not too small. The laptop as a whole is lighter than my macbook pro that it replaced and the resolution is better. I love my new t61p!

i don't have one; but if i do; it would be the 15 inch one. better cooling, nicer screen size = more commfortable viewing, not that much bigger, as it has thinner bezel.

I have a 15.4" for me. It is just easier to have a little larger laptop because my hands are actually pretty big. Plus I like the extra screen space. :)

15.4" is much better as a desktop replacement style usage. 14" standard is pretty small.

I don't get it until tomorrow, but I ordered the 14". I have been using a 15" 1680x1050 for the last 3 years with no screen complaints, its a great size. However, there are many times that I pull it out at lunch and wish I had something a little smaller, not to mention fitting it on the tray table of a crowed flight. I am slightly worried about losing some resolution to 1440x900, but since I have a separate desktop computer, I am really looking for something smaller, without paying the premium for an ultra-weight.

Yes, I know what you mean :) I ordered the 15.4 inch model, and while in the plane it just barley fits on my tray table in a coach seat. However, as soon as the person in front of you puts thier seat back to take a nap, it's all over, my screen just shuts to the point where I have to look almost under the laptop to view the screen lol. Even on a smaller 14.1 inch T61, I would imagine the same thing would happen when the person in front of you put's their seat all the way back. Thats why I love those flights where there's eather A. No person sitting in front if you, or B. You have the emergency exit seat, where you and your laptop have plenty of room :)
    Ok, Airlines rant off :)

I went with the 15.4" WXGA.

It's a good panel, but I believe Lenovo would really benefit its customers by offering WXGA+ (1440x900) on their 15.4" model. I would have paid extra for it, and been happy doing so. I think it's a real gap in the R61/T61 line.

My 15.4" T61p is smaller, thinner and lighter than one of my older 14" laptops.

I have a Dell D630 14" and it's not that much smaller than the T61.

    14.1 widescreen

Had a 15.4 Dell Inspiron before this, too heavy, smaller screen is lighter.

14.1 WSXGA+ No complaints. I originally wanted a 15.4 widescreen but decided that would be to big. I travel a lot and the 14.1 is a perfect compromise. I can still do all my programming on it without any issues. but i would never go lower than 1440x900, just to much scrolling then.
