    Hi All,
Im looking for a Port Replicator or Docking Station for a Lenovo G460. Actual model is 06779XU.
Scoured Lenovos site and it appears they do not offer one for this model.
Can anyone recommend a 3rd party USB Port Replicator or docking station that may work with the G460?
Would like to use this primarily for desktop use and plug in an external LCD. I guess a docking station would be preferred over a port replicator, if the port replicator doesnt have a DVI or HDMI connection.

Also may want to pick up a Thinkpad at some point and any recommendations on one that has a worthy Docking Station would be appreciated.
Im assuming that Lenovo doesnt offer Docking Stations or Port Replicators until you get into the Thinkpad line.

Most value lines of notebooks rarely have a docking station option, as building in a dock connector adds cost, and few people in the budget sector purchase one.

Kensington makes some universal docking stations.

If you go with a ThinkPad T, X, or W-series laptop, a docking station should be no problem.

As LoneWolf15 has stated, there are no docking stations for consumer models in a long while.

What do you plan on doing with your laptop? Do you mind weight/bulky laptop?

usb based port replicator is the closest thing you will come to a proper docking option for the G series, and it can be had fairly cheaply. Just look for a used one on ebay.

Its for a client of mine. She didnt elaborate on her usage, but she does use it for business and personal use. She just mentioned that she wanted to use the G460 as her desktop replacement and hook a monitor up to it. It was my thought that she get some sort of docking station if it was going to be somewhat of a permanent solution.
I did look at the USB Docking Stations and Port replicators on Amazon mostly and only one had decent enough reviews to even consider.
