So i have seen a BD reader /burner for the ultrabay slim, but its like $600 which is a 1/3 of what I paid for this laptop, but I have a 1920x1200 res so I want to watch high def stuff, does anyone know a lower cost NON external solution??

The 9.5mm Blu-ray drive uses a SATA connector, but the T61 has a PATA connector. There was a 9.5mm PATA BD-R made by Panasonic a few years ago on EnGadget, but that was the only time I saw it. I think you're pretty much hosed on this one.
