I am looking to buy a T420 before business school starts. Lenovo typically don't do much discount during back-to-school season besides the 10% thing on the website. I am planning to buy it before Ivy Bridge T420 releases, if there is a clearance sale on Sandy Bridge T420. Since I am on a tight budget, I don't mind outdated hardware or even used machine, if it is cheap enough.
I have signed up for the newsletter on Lenovo's website and I know there is a Mastercard market that I can possibly find deals. Where else should I keep an eye on for deals? What are some of your past experience on getting a fat deal?
It is sad that my school does not run any promotion with Lenovo to sell students this machine....

there is always sale when the new line is released, however the sales are sporadic and don't offer all the options like they do when it is on normal retail.
Which country are you in? -
Lenovo's Barnes and Noble website has a sale going on for the T420 right now.

I will attend school in the US.
I see that Barnes and Noble now offers 24% off on T420. Is this normally the best they can do? Can I stack this with other coupon? -

Even better is the T420 at the Lenovo Outlet for $627.21 right now, worth every penny.
Possibility of clearance sale of Sandy Bridge Thinkpad T420?
