    You'd have to find a panel that fits. The panel from the X230t would too thick to fit because of the touch surface.

    the motherboard won't support a touchscreen LCD, since it would require extra connections for the digitiser.

    I should have qualified the original question. Does anyone know of a touch panel that will fit in the x220/230? How would I even go about finding this info?

    Are you referring to an active digitizer like those utilized by Wacom? Would a capacitive touch panel without support for a pen work?

    it wouldn't work because the motherboard would not specifically support it. Why not just get a X220t or X230t?
