    Hi i just wondered which cpus i could upgrade my X61 to? Ive currently got 2.2GHz T7500? I do do computational tasks.

    I've seen T61's with penryns but not sure which one is the top. A friend of mine has one with a T8300 but I think I read somewhere you could put a T9400 in there. Depends on your motherboard though.

    CPUs in the X series are soldered to the motherboard. You'd need to swap the motherboard, which will be much more expensive than doing just the CPU.
