I apologize if this is a pathetically stupid question. I did search first but didn't see an answer. I have an r61, type 7650. My sister has a t61, type 7662. My r61 does not appear to have the recovery partition. Can I create a set of restoration discs from my sister's t61 and use them? I would prefer not to spend 50 bucks on the discs.

    Thank you in advance.

I don't think it's going to work. The recovery discs are made with your system's license.
