Cant wait to see some more sli 750m gaming benchmarks. Ill post mine when it comes (supposedly may 10th)
-
-
What kind of benchmark? Link? lol
-
Nah just write out what games your.playing, the resolution, the settings and the fps your getting! Thanks again
-
Saints Row the Third 70fps+ always highest settings possible
Playin fallout later ill edit my post -
Im guessing New Vegas plays great at the highest settings!
-
I did 15 minutes of Saints Row the Third gameplay.. It is uploading.. I'll post the link in 15 minutes.
-
Sweet! Thanks
-
For some reason it didn't upload in 1080p. Ugh. It'll take a little bit longer. Sorry.
-
Hey Logan which recording software do use Fraps? Bandicam? Action? I was recommended Action which I've never heard of, but was told it's better than both Fraps and Bandicam. Have yet to try it.
Oh! Is there any or a lot of lag while playing and recording at the same time? -
Trying to make it 1080p:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/ideapad-essential/717684-y500-gameplay-videos.html#post9186956
I used Fraps @ 45 FPS. There was no lag at all. -
Fraps usually lowers your fps when recording correct?
-
Of course, but it did not go lower than 40 so it was not noticeable at all.
-
Skyrim hd texts ultra 1080p 60-100+ all the time but sometimes it will drop to 40fps..
The Reckoning 60+ all the time highest settings
tomb raider almost everything on ultra but hair quality 40-60 btw sli isnt working guess we need to wait for a nvidia update. -
I have heard about the SLI not working on Tomb Raider also.
-
Impressive that your getting ultra (minus tress fx) on a single mobile graphics card and getting that fps. Very impressive!
-
Who was that directed towards? We both have the SLI version
-
Well for tomb raider because sli doesnt work in it.
-
Oh, well the 750M is a pretty good GPU by itself.
-
I just beat Tomb Raider, wicked game. On single GT750M card @ 1080p on High I was getting 40-45 FPS while on Ultra I was getting around 25ish FPS. Nvidia now lists the GT750M on their driver page so we should soon see an update with a Tomb Raider SLI profile.
-
well mine works with 310.09 drivers. both my cards are being used and heats up above 70. i guess that means sli is working. though haven't tried running running on single 650m. i'll try that later after work.
-
Does anyone have benchmarks for how the sli handles bf3 on 1080p ultra? Notebookcheck seems to compare the 750sli to the 675mx.
-
As requested, I am going to play Witcher 2 on Ultra tomorrow and record it using fraps and post the results. This game is "very intensive" so it should be fun. Talk to you then.
-
no one wants to watch your fraps videos because they distort the FPS. Just give us the numbers.
-
Don't want to watch it? Then don't. See how much I care.
On a side note, I am enabled to what I'd care to do, so if I want to give 'numbers' than I will, but you telling me to do so has no effect on me. -
i think he didn't meant any offense by that. what he meant was not many people want to watch fraps recorded gameplay because the fps is adjusted since fraps takes a lot of fps when recording. it doesn't show the TRUE fps the 750m sli is running the game at. well basically we all want to know the true and the exact facts.
-
I was recording in 1080p and a 45 FPS in the Fraps setings, I thought that was going to be exact quality?
-
no fraps kills fps
-
Does fraps also kills fps while you are NOT recording but only using it for seeing your game fps ?
-
no. that's why the best way to record game play when we're talking about fps is using a third party recording device like a video cam.
you can still do what FSU Logan did but just be sure to also give the fps when not recording. -
I did post the FPS and stuff on my page.
-
oh. sorry bout that. i was just merely reacting to what bradsh said.
haven't watched the videos yet. no videos in the office. our boss is very good in catching anyone watching videos lol. he just appears out of nowhere!
-
No worries.
-
to previous poster: dude, the witcher 2 on ultra!?!
I hate you.
EDIT: I don't think I can do that on my two 650m's... then again I've targetted 58fps as the avg fps for witcher 2... does anyone know if the 750m is just clocked higher than the 650m, or does it contain more cuda cores/higher memory bandwidth? becuase I have each of my 650ms clock 265mhz higher than stock (1110core/2600mem) and was wondering how differently a stock 750m sli machine would feel than an OC'ed 650m. Is the CPU still 2.4ghz normal/3.2ghz turbo? -
How are you getting such good fps in tomb raider? I put it on ultra and turned hair quality to normal and avg about 20 fps. I have it plugged in and power option on high performnce
-
Well i got to return mine. Somethings up with the vid cards. After 5 minutes of bioshock infinite the cards started artifacting and now the ultrabay card wont work. Ugh
-
It could be vsync. Vysnc was totally ruining my FPS for some reason.
-
Nah, 2nd card wont do anything now. Fan wont even kick on
-
There is something obviously wrong then. Weird
-
Yup. Bit upset especially since I literally used it for a few hours
-
Are you sure the SLI is enabled ...?
-
Yes. Wont even show up anywhere anymore. Took it out and it has a funky smell too
So, how did witcher 2 turn out for you? -
Also shouldnt note i called and they said they would overnight me a new ultrabay card. But, no email or anything for a confirmation of that.
While I wait, how do you set up sli profiles for games? I mean I know you need to go into the nvidia control panel to enable sli ( if i remember correctly I had it set to automatic) -
Nvidia constantly will be updating the drivers to support new games. That's all you need to do; update the drivers and have the SLI enabled.
-
This is my 3dmark11 benchmark score. The Y500 needs better cooling for the CPU and GPU, each components should have dual heatpipes instead of single heatpipes.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor,LENOVO INVALID score: P5396 3DMarks -
Before I start, sorry guys for newbie questions. Just wanted to ask for Y500 750m does boost kick in and bring up the gpu clockspeed? The reason I ask this is because boost is not enabled on the 650m version. I am about to pull the trigger on the Y500 but I am not sure if I should get a Y400 instead. The Y400 seems about the same price as the Y500 but Y500 comes with a bigger screen and other things. I am worried that they cut corners so I need somebody to verify......... Thanks.
-
Woah, that's an impressive score. All the other benchmarks I have seen were around 4500. Did you overclock using Nvidia Inspector? And how are the temps with/without OC?
-
Wow this looks damn pretty high. Almost similar to the AMD 7970m
-
nice! highest score i've seen so far for a y500! how were the cpu and gpu max temps? i reckon you'd be above 90c mark with this kind of score.
this laptop has dual heat pipes, with one for both cpu and gpu, the other one for the 2nd gpu. this is sli, you are basically asking for triple heat pipes, which i guess can't be done on a 15.6 incher. -
Honestly I could never figure out how to use 3DMARK11 or whatever. I downloaded it and ran it then it said I had to buy it. If someone could teach me, I'll do it too. I have it overclocked 135/300.
-
750ms are just overclocked 650m Almost all 700m series seems to be a rebrand so far. Everything is exactly the same. I'm currently running modded 660M with 1200MHz so no incentive for me to upgrade
But I would love to have a laptop witha 680MX
LOL! Hopefully still at 15.6"
Also ppl need to stop putting so much emphasis on 3Dmark. Synthetic benchmarks have never proven any ground in the face of real games, especially since most are shot from same angles over and over again...and also do contain scripted explosions at times.
750M that scores as high or higher than 7970M in 3D is completely BS and misleading. The 7970M is much stronger than the 384 cuda cored Nvidia cards unfortunately. I would say even 2 in sli would struggle against it especially due to both scaling and drivers.
Either way, it's nice to see lenovo making quick improvements! Lord knows Alienware takes for ever for their laptop refreshes....still waiting for a mx14x revision!
Post your sli 750m gaming benchmarks!!
