Hello,
I have a Lenovo T430 with specs of a W530, the laptop seems to work relatively stable for now, it is having power issues when I dock it to 4337 with the 90W adapter.
I have one 170W adapter in my office and a 4337 docking station to it, everything works there without an issue, but with the 90W adapter at home docked, it has issues.
I have these hooked up:
1.1TB music/movie data USB external HDD
2.500GB backup/synchronizing external USB HDD
3.1 USB port for 4 USB devices
4.VGA out to an external monitor
5.Wireless mouse/keyboard antenna USB.
When I have all of these inserted, 1 and 2 doesn't load, and the monitor doesn't work.
When unplug 1, everything else works, except monitor turns blue.
When I only have 4 and 5 hooked up, everything works well, and laptop internal SD card reader doesn't work.
Clearly, I am having power issues when docked at least. The 170W Brick is a bit pricey for my student budget, and also I have many 90W adapters.
Is there a way to use a 90W adapter for docking station alone, and another 90W to power the laptop, or should I just sell the 90W adapters and buy a 170W one?
Thank you for your time.
