HELP! Leaving today on LONG flight....
"Somehow" the pre-defined Power Mgr settings in the drop down of Power Manager on my X60S have disappeared and I am unable to compose and store new ones. How can I restore them or where can I download them?
    Thanks .. abe

It can be fixed thru the registry...
Using regedit.exe, you may safely delete GlobalPowerPolicy and PowerPolicies under [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\PowerCfg] then import the attached reg file (just extract it from the zipped file)... or you may edit my reg file and just import the power policies you need. Policies 1-5 are the default Windows power policy and Policies 6-10 are the Lenovo Power Manager policies.. Hope this helps..

WOW!! THANK YOU so very much! I have been doing some extensive and intensive travelling and have not been able to get back here. The reg import file worked perfectly. Thanks so much for fixing that for us all!

It turns out that on the trip down to Australia last month, the 747-400 for United UA893 had seat power! It was not advertised as such. I'm making a return trip next month so this time I'll be ready. Never had to use the "8 hour battery" ... thanks again ... abe

@Outrigger: I figured this out today. Go into the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\PowerCfg] key and remove all of the keys above 10 - you should have #s 0-10, and nothing higher.

When you create a new profile and you can't change to it, check the registry location again. You'll have a new key, called whatever the next sequential number is - for me it was 56. Change this to the next sequential number (11). Try changing power settings again, this time to your newly created one. It'll work.

I'm sure the next sequential number is stored in the registry somewhere, or in an INI file, and could be fixed, but I didn't bother looking for it. I create profiles so rarely that I don't mind going in and manually editing the registry after I do it.

    Good luck!
