    I bought my T500 and am blown away by performance and build quality, but I was noticing a strange noise. I realized its coming from the power pack, a funny pulsing ringing sound, not that high pitched. Its really annoying, anyone else have this? Should I try and get another.

    I assume you mean the external power adapter. I don't think power adapters should be making noises at all. I have three of them (2 90W and 1 65W) and neither of them make any noises.

    I would certainly contact Lenovo about it. The worst that can happen is that they tell you it is normal...

    There should not be any noise - I've never heard any noise in any of the power adapters I've used before. I'd call Lenovo Support and get a replacement.

    While my Lenovo power adapter is silent, there are some very faint buzzing noise coming from certain power adapters I have used during the years. Is it normal? I can't tell. But they never blew on me or something :)

    Tell us what Lenovo told you if you managed to ask them about this.
